Centre of Independent Living (CIL)

CILL's Centre of Independent Living (CIL) is a base that:

  1. provides disabled people living, working and learning in the London Borough of Lewisham with a range of services,
  2. enables all disabled people in Lewisham to participate in the Centre's activities at the level of their choice, and
  3. promotes and develops new services as determined by disabled members of CILL

The Centre of Independent Living will provide a range of services including:

The Centre of Independent Living's Action Programme is based on a social model of disability. Disabled people are not a problem; the problem is a society that invests little or nothing to include us.

Disabled people want to live in an inclusive society alongside non-disabled people and to enjoy the same rights to participate in ordinary human activities.
