12 Basic Rights
Disabled people want to live in an inclusive society alongside non-disabled people and to enjoy the same rights to participate in ordinary human activities.
If this is to happen for the 30,000 disabled people living in Lewisham, twelve basic rights will have to be satisfied. CILL is committed to securing these rights:
- accessible/adapted Housing
- personal Assistance
- inclusive Education and Training
- an adequate Income
- equal opportunities for Employment
- appropriate and accessible Information
- advocacy (towards self-advocacy)
- counseling
- appropriate and accessible heath care provision
